Rotterdam
Nederlanders
en buitenlanders, speciaal
van Nederlandse afkomst, zijn uitgenodigd om deel
te nemen aan de heruitvoering van de Hongertocht 44-45
De hongertocht vond plaats
toen moeders en andere verzorgers hun kinderen op een lange
tocht namen om van de hongerdood in de grote steden in het westen van
Nederland te ontsnappen.
Deelnemers zullen
bijeenkomen in de middeleeuwse stad Hattem in Gelderland. Zij komen uit
verschillende richtingen en op verschillende manieren.
Het vind plaats in de periode 4 - 12
augustus 2007.

Invitation
Hattem
All Dutch
nationals and foreign friends, especially those of Dutch heritage,
are cordially invited to
take part in the reenactment of the Hunger March of 44-45.
The "Hongertocht" or "Hunger March"
took place when mothers and other caretakers took their children and
charges on a long hike to escape starvation in the large cities in the
western part of the Netherlands.
Participants in the reenactment will
converge from different directions, and by different means, to the small
medieval town of Hattem in Gelderland.
It will be staged from August 4 - 12, 2007.
